Last weekend my father, my brother
and I decided to go to the national derby at the Azteca Stadium. It was a
soccer game in which we were expecting many people coming through; we were
talking about thousands of people, not only from the city, but also from other
states of the country such as Jalisco, Puebla or even Chihuahua. We knew
our prediction was right when we saw tens of buses parking all along the
avenue, they came from everywhere.
We finally get into the stadium and saw some guys sitting in our places,
so I asked them to stand up and leave; they had to move but we started to talk
friendly, because we were supporting the same team. I asked them where did they
coming from, because of their foreign accent, and they said they came from
Guanajuato, and that was it for the moment.
Fortunately, our team was winning the game and we were all celebrating,
but suddenly we turn back and there was this skinny and suspect guy who was now
in our sits although we were all standing up. We let him stayed at first, but
then he started to push me and my brother because we did not fit in the three
places where now we were four people.
It started to get a little bit annoying for me, besides I was a little
bit enthusiastic for the match and got my energy to the top.
It all fail when some guy asked me
to give him some of my beer, so I got very angry albeit my brother was not. I
pushed the guy and gave him a quick punch. Little did I know he was one of the
guys who came from Guanajuato. They were many and they got very angry.
Finally, they told us that their friend was drunk and he always tend to put them in situations like that, so they apologized and so did I. I may could had done things different, because in another situation my father, my brother and I could have been hurt very badly, and all because of my reckless way to react to this situations.
We talked about it in our way home, but we were also proud of our willing to defend each other and to not let anyone disrespect us.
